Parks
Located on State Street between Corporation Rd and Nanticoke St, Gene Lowe Park is home to Sharptown’s soccer field and basketball courts. It also has playground equipment including swings and a play-gym with 3 slides!
Cope Bennett Park is near the intersection of Little Water St and Railway St on the Nanticoke River. It is where Sharptown’s baseball field, secondary soccer field, tennis courts, and pickleball courts are located. It has a small picnic pavilion situated next to a newly renovated playground with one the last merry-go-rounds in the county.
Just on the other side of 313 from Cope Bennett Park, an easy stroll under the bridge, is Cherry Beach Park & Boat Ramp. There you can find more playground equipment, swimming, fishing, and the town boat ramp. Its has a very large picnic pavilion with tables and the generously sized parking lot also serves as overflow parking for events at Cope Bennett Park.
At the very end of Main Street along the Nanticoke river you will find the public fishing area. It runs from Main Street over to Ferry Street. A fishing license is not required if you fish between the signs.
